24-25 will be my 9th year at WHS.  I began my career in education in the fall of 1995.  Prior to coming to Washougal, I worked as a high school counselor for 5 years and taught 8th grade Language Arts & Social Studies for 15 years all in the Evergreen School District.  My philosophy of education is to empower students to take control of as many aspects of their lives as possible.  Teens don't always recognize it, but the one place they do have total control is school.  I strive to instill confidence in students to become self advocates.  I love working with the students and families of WHS.  Go Panthers!
