Socratic Seminars

You are now ready to take charge of your own literary discussions. We will be participating in Socratic Seminars during most of our novel studies this year. Watch this short video to get an idea of how they work.

Before each seminar, you need to have reviewed and considered the questions on the RWG (Reader's Workshop Guide) for your book, attached at the bottom of the book's webpage.

Come to the seminar with:

A) The attached Socratic Seminar Prep sheet with 4 questions (with answers) of your own devising in any four areas. Answer your own question in the appropriate boxes.

B) 2 interesting quotes to discuss. List on back of sheet.

Note: YOU MUST BRING YOUR BOOK TO THE SEMINAR IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN AND RECEIVE FULL CREDIT FOR THE SEMINAR.
