Through the new Civic Arts Cluster, the WCHS Visual Art Department is offering a program designed for creative students to meet graduation requirements through a structured course of study in the visual arts, while also giving them opportunities for collaborating with a number of arts organizations, schools and artists in our community.
This pathway will help our students and community work together by using the arts to develop relationships, inspire creativity, and to give art students real-world experiences in art-related careers such as art therapy, art education, and fine art studio study practice.
At this time, students must complete a minimum of 3 required courses from our extensive list below, along with an additional business/education course to give them career development experiences to support their creative endeavors. We also recommend additional elective visual art courses to expand their knowledge base and to deepen their experiences in the visual arts.
