What Are We Learning? 

Structured Literacy:

  •  I can write Kk correctly and tell the sound it make. 

  • I can tell the number of syllables in a word.  

  • I can identify and produce rhyming words.

  •  I can read the sight words the, was, you, of, for, said, as, is, all, put, does, are.

Reading:

  • I can ask and answer questions about a text.

  • I can listen to a story to develop comprehension.

  • I can identify the topic and main idea of an informational text.

  • I can pronounce and use academic words.

  • I can retell the characters, setting, and main events in a story.

  • I can use text evidence to answer questions about a story.

  • I xan retell the problem, solution, and theme of a fable using a complete sentence.

Math:  

  • I can count to 100 by 10s and 1s.

  • I can recognize and count numbers on a 100s chart.

  • I can count forward from any given nummber.

  • I can put numbers in order starting at any n umber.

Writing:

  •  I can write my first name. 

  •  I can write numbers 0-100.

  •  I can write letters Ll, Hh, Ii, Tt, Ff, Ee, Aa, Nn, Mm, Vv, Kk, Ww, Oo, Qq, Cc, Gg, Dd, Pp, Bb, Rr, Uu, Jj, Ss, Ll, Uu, and Kk.

Science/Social Studies: 

  • I can identify family traditions.

  • I can tell how holidays are celebrated in different countries.

  • I can describe interactions between individuals and groups in families. classrooms, and communities.

  • I can describe how people work together in a community.
