What Are We Learning? 

Structured Literacy:

  •  I can write Ee correctly and tell the sound  it makes. 

  • I can tell the number of syllables in a word.  

  • I can identify and produce rhyming words.

  •  I can read the sight words of, was, you, or, for, put, push, my, walk, talk, into, wash, want, what, who, some, come, done, none, our.

Reading:

  • I can understand the characteristics of fables.

  • I can actively listen to a story to develop comprehension.

  • I can identify characters, setting, and main idea of a fable.

  • I can retell the characters, setting, and main events in a story.

  • I can use text evidence to answer questions about a story.

  • I can identify the theme of a fable.

  • I can read nouns with inflection -s.

  • I can sort objects into groups.

Math:  

  • I can explain when comparing two groups why one has a greater number of objects and one group has a lesser number of objects than the other group.

  • I can use  matching to compare two groups and use this comparison to tell which group has the greater/lesser amount of objects..

  • I can use matching to compare two groups of objects.

  • I can compare two groups of objects within 10.

  • I can say which is the greater or lesser number with the help of manipulatives.

Writing:

  •  I can write my first name. 

  •  I can write numbers 1-20.

  •  I can write letters Ll, Hh, Ii, Tt, Ff, Ee, Aa, Nn, Mm, Vv, Kk, Ww, Oo, Qq, Cc, Gg, Dd, Pp, Bb, Rr, Uu, Jj, Ss, Ll, Uu, Kk, Yy, Xx, Ee.

Science/Social Studies: 

  • I can investigate to compare the effects of different strengths or different directions of push or pulls on the motion of an object.

  • I can describe how different big machines work.

  • I can experiment with pushes and pulls.
