Bus

Warepa School has two bus runs - the "First bus" covers Kakapuaka, Toiro, Waitepeka areas and the "Second bus" picking up children from the Kaihiku, Hillfoot Road area.

If you would like to know if you are eligible to travel on the bus please contact either the office or the principal.

Parents are asked to contact the bus driver or get someone who gets on the bus before their children to give the bus driver a message if their children are not traveling to school on their bus in the morning.

All children who travel on the bus must let their teacher know if they are not traveling on the bus in the afternoon so they can be taken off the bus list. For Junior children, this is in form of a note or text to the teacher. Changes to the usual bus routines will be noted on the bus list. Parents are also welcome to ring the office and get notes put into the bus list. If you need to make a change to your child’s after school bus arrangements, please ensure that you let school know, the office is attended until 12.30 after that please text your message to one of the teaching staff so we can be sure the message is received.

If the school has not been contacted your child/children will be sent home on their usual bus.

Each bus has senior students who are trained bus monitors, it is expected that the children traveling on the bus respect the driver, each other and the rules.

For the safety of the students, all children must wear the hi-viz vest provided by the school.
