If you wanted to you could have a go yourself. To do most of it you only need an iPad. If you are really lucky and have an Apple Pencil too you can do it all!!
Battersea Power Station Collage Banner
Task 1 - Make an Avatar
Make yourself an Avatar on https://avatarmaker.com/
Don't spend too long doing this. We have a busy session 👍
When you have finished your Avatar take a screenshot and crop your image down to remove bits you don't need.
Save your avatar in to your Google Drive folder.
Task 2 - Designing a banner for your web page
Open Google Drive on your iPad device and choose some images to use in your banner. Save them to your Camera Roll.
On your iPad devices open Keynote and create a Simple White presentation.
Insert and arrange your images on to the Keynote slide. Remember to add your Avatar too!
Remember you can use layers to position your objects to enhance your design.
Play your presentation and take a screenshot (home + lock) and save the image in to your Google Drive Work folder.
Past, Present, Future Video
Task 1 - Record your footage in front of the greenscreen
Get in to a group of 3.
Choose a storyboard, decide who is doing what part and practice your lines.
Record your footage in front of the greenscreen.
Task 2 - Add your footage to iMovie and create your final video
Open an iMovie project and select the 'Movie' option. Click 'Create Movie'.
First add your background images to the timeline.
Then add your greenscreen footage over the top of your backgrounds using the 3 dots (***) and the 'Green/Blue Screen' option.
Make sure you refer to your storyboard when editing your video to ensure you are telling the story.
Add your greenscreen footage to an iMovie project and create your final video using your storyboard as a guide.
Save your final video to your Google Drive Work Folder (one for each member of your team).
Power Station on Tour
Task 1 - Choose a landscape to visit
Open the Google Drive app on your iPad.
Browse to the Shared Drive and then the Landscapes folder.
Choose a landscape and download it to you iPad device.
Task 2 - Choose some Power Station objects to add to your landscape
Open the Google Drive app on your iPad.
Browse to the Shared Drive then the Resources folder.
Choose some Power Station objects and download them to you iPad device.
Task 3 - Combine landscape and Power Station images
On your iPad devices open Keynote and create a Simple White presentation.
Insert your Landscape image first and make sure it fills the whole slide.
Add your Power Station images in a creative way. Try to tell a story.
Remember you can use layers to position your objects to enhance your design.
Task 4 - Add a Title and your name using letters from the Power Station
Go back to the Google Drive app open the Resources folder.
Download the letters you need to give your art work a title and your name.
Back in the Keynote app, add the letters in a creative way to spell your name and the title.
Play your presentation and take a screenshot (home + lock) and save the image in to your Google Drive Work folder.
Reflective Silhouettes
Task 1 - Capture your photograph
Work with a partner to capture your silhouette.
Open the Camera app and frame your partner against the lovely blue sky.
Before taking the picture tap on the blue sky so that your iPad focuses on it.
Take the photo.
Swap with your partner to take their photo on their iPad device.
Task 2 - Edit your photograph to achieve a true silhouette
Open the Photo App and find your photo.
Tap edit and adjust the 'BRILLIANCE', 'HIGHLIGHTS' and 'SHADOWS' to 100% or until you have your silhouette.
Tap Done to save your changes.
Task 3 - Add a reflection on your week using the Apple Pencil
Open the Photo App and find your photo.
Tap edit and then the Markup tool located in the top right of the screen.
Use your Apple Pencil to create a speech bubble big enough to write in (Don't be shy! Make it big!).
Write your reflection in your speech bubble using your best handwriting.
