Machine Learning

This a new and exciting area of the project. Our friends at Apple have given us access to a brand new app called Co-ML. Co-ML is a Machine Learning iPad app. 

Machine learning is a way of teaching computers to learn from examples, just like we do! Instead of giving a computer step-by-step instructions, we show it lots of examples and let it figure out patterns on its own.

For example, if we want a computer to recognise shapes like circles and squares, we show it pictures of these shapes and tell it what they are. Over time, the computer gets better at spotting them—even in new pictures it hasn’t seen before.

Machine learning is used in everyday life, like when apps suggest movies you might like, help translate languages, or even recognise your face to unlock your phone. It’s a powerful tool that helps computers get smarter and solve problems in exciting ways!
