Practices & Games

Game schedules can be found here, on the WHS athletic webpage. USE A LAPTOP/DESKTOP COMPUTER. 

Click on the "Fall" tab on the left-hand side. Then, on the drop-down menu, go to "Soccer." You can then choose to view the schedule you are searching for (varsity is "Girls Varsity," JVA is "Girls Junior Varsity," and JVB is "Girls Freshman." Make sure you are looking at the 2023-2024 season! Please note: This webpage may not always reflect changes. Coaches will be able to provide more up-to-date scheduling information as the season progresses.

Something that new parents/players typically inquire about is what the soccer commitment for the fall looks like. To help give new players a sense of the commitment, a general overview is below (official schedules will be available at a later date).

Overview: All teams (Varsity, JVA, and JVB) have practices and/or games Monday through Friday & sometimes on Saturdays (Saturday sessions/games are typically for the JVA and Varsity teams). Practices are typically around 2:30p-4:30p or 3:00p-5:00p; home games typically start at 4:00p or 4:30p (and coaches ask players to be at the field about an hour beforehand); and away games require a bus-ride so we ask players to be ready for departure--from the high school--at 2:30p.

In addition to expecting teammates to be at all team events, practices, and games (there are only a few exceptions for excused absences), all players in our program are held to the Bona Fide Team Member rule (per the MIAA). You can read more about this rule here.

Another great way to gather a sense of the season is to chat with other players/parents about their experience (veterans have the best tips for managing the commitment!).

ADDITIONAL GOALKEEPER TRAINING: Goalkeepers will have additional training. The goalkeeper training calendar will be created on a week-to-week basis as it is based on the game schedule for the week; however, it will most likely take place on Wednesdays when Wednesday is not a game-day for Varsity.
