Fingerprinting

ALL WALPOLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS EMPLOYEES MUST BE FINGERPRINTED.  

EMPLOYMENT WITH WALPOLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS CONTINGENT UPON A SATISFACTORY BACKGROUND CHECK.

The Statewide Applicant Fingerprint Identification Services (SAFIS) MorphoTrust USA IndentoGo™ registration website allows applicants to schedule fingerprinting appointments:   http://www.identogo.com/FP/Massachusetts.aspx or by phone at 866-349-8130.  There are several locations available.

Please make sure to select Prek-12 Grade Education (ESE)under Agency/Sector.   You will be required to provide Walpole Public Schools Provider I.D., which is: 03070000.

(Substitutes, Student Teachers, Coaches, and Subcontractors may provide up to 10 districts organization codes to eliminate the need to pay the fee multiple times.)

Unlike state CORI checks with no associated fee, individuals will pay a fee to comply with this requirement that ranges from up to $35 for non-licensed employees to up to $55 for DESE license-holders (including those with pending applications/licenses).   Walpole Public Schools does not pay for or reimburse for fingerprinting.

Substitute teachers are school employees under the new law must submit their fingerprints for the state and national checks.  If substitute teachers hold educator licenses issued under G.L. c. 71, § 38G, they will pay a fee up to $55; otherwise, they will pay a fee up to $35.

IF YOU BEEN FINGERPRINTED BY ANOTHER SCHOOL DISTRICT, YOU CAN REQUEST THAT DISTRICT SEND A SUITABILITY DETERMINATION to hr@walpole.k12.ma.us.
