  • This free phone referral system is for ALL Walpole residents looking for mental health providers. Offered by Williams James College, callers are matched with licensed mental health providers from an extensive database and each referral will meet the location, health insurance and specialty needs (i.e. LGBTQ+) of the caller.

  • Open Mon-Fri, 9-5pm.

  • A peer-run support group near Harvard Square area for trans and gender diverse people in their teens to 30's. BATS welcomes those who are questioning their gender identity, need help with coming out, or those just looking for a community of relatable people. Respecting everyone's privacy, if you fill out their short online form then someone will email you back with info.

  • A program run out of Children’s Hospital, provides support and resources for LGBTQ+ staff, patients, their families, and friends.

Sayftee: Jamaica Plain

A safe place for gender expansive and LGBTQ+ youth and families to build connections and resiliency through workshops, groups and services. To contact, submit request online.

  • First step for interested youth or families is to complete a 1-hour intake by Melissa MacNish, LMHC.

  • Sayftee also provides consultation reading groups for providers who are interested in learning more about working with trans and non-binary youth.

  • Current Groups: Offering a wide variety of support groups for children, teens (ages 4-18), and their families. Some examples include: "Xploring gender together" for school-aged kids and their parents, Xpanding your Toolbox" for trans and non-binary teens, and different parenting groups for kids ranging in age from 4-18.

  • Collaborative group of mental health providers who provide services and resources for gender variant youth and families, gender queer and transgender adults and loved ones, lesbian, gay and queer people.

Wayside Youth & Family Support: Framingham, Intake Number: 1-508-630-5907

  • Provides a variety of mental health counseling and youth/family support services to children, young adults and families in MetroWest.

  • Utilizes a specialty intake team who specialize in LGBTQ+ issues and will match your unique needs with the right therapist or provider.

Finding a Provider

  • An online resource of mental health therapists who identify as lgbtq+ and/or have experience in helping lgbtq+ youth.

  • A health professional association ensuring equality in health care for LGBT individuals.

  • This site also contains an LGBT provider directory for doctors, therapists, specialists and dentists in your area.

  • A non-profit organization seeking to connect transgender, gender non-conforming, intersex and queer (TGIQ) people with safe, respectful, and comprehensive health care in their area.

  • Simply write in the specialty area of interest and location and a list of “tired & true” providers will be displayed with their contact information.
