The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ young people, ages 13-24.

  • TrevorText: Text ‘Trevor’ to 1-202-304-1200 (standard text messaging rates apply). Available only Thursdays and Fridays between 4:00-8:00pm only (EST).

  • Trevor Chat: Online instant messaging with a Trevor Chat counselor, 7 days a week, 3:00-9:00p EST.

  • LGBT Helpline: 1-888-340-4528 or 1-617-267-9001, available Mon-Sat, 6:00pm-11:00pm. Anonymous and confidential phone lines that offer LGBTQ+ adults and youth a “safe place” to call for any kind of LGBTQ+ information, i.e. safe sex, coming out, depression, HIV/Aids, referrals, and support.

  • Peer Listening Youth Line: 1-800-399-PEER (7337) or 617-267-2535, available Mon-Sat, 5:00pm-10:00pm. For LGBTQ+ youth under 25 years of age, Fenway Health volunteers who identify as LGBTQ+ and are between 16-25 years of age are trained to offer support and active listening for LGBTQ+ peers.

  • An expansive LGBTQ+ source providing a wide range of free and confidential help lines for LGBTQ+ people of all ages, with dedicated lines for youth, peer-to-peer support and resources.

Trans Lifeline: 1-877-565-8860

  • Available 7 days/week from 11:00am-5:00am, this lifeline is a non-profit dedicated to the immediate safety of transgender people. Staffed “by trans people for trans people”, it provides support for transgender people in crisis and/or those who may be questioning their gender identity.

Boston Suicide Samaritans: Call or text 1-877-870-HOPE (4673)

  • Provides compassionate, confidential and non-judgmental services, including 24/7 crisis helplines, grief support/counseling, and community outreach and education.

  • A queer friendly, free service that helps people all over the country find knowledgeable and helpful resources for any issue, including crises, housing/homelessness, domestic violence, health/medical, etc. Call 211 if you are experiencing any issue.

  • If you're struggling, you can call or chat with the Lifeline. They're available 24/7 and confidential.
