September will bring a new look to Walker Technology College.

As we are becoming an Academy we have taken the opportunity to update our school branding. With this, brings a minimal change to our school uniform.

Students must wear full Academy uniform at all times when they are within the Academy or on an Academy visit, unless otherwise stated.

All new blazers and ties should be purchased from our uniform supplier; Emblematic. This can be done online HERE or by visiting their Longbenton store.

*Please note, all existing students will be supplied with one new tie and one sew-able Academy logo for September, free of charge, as we realise that many students will not require a new blazer for the 2018-19 academic year. When your child requires a replacement, please order through Emblematic as items will not be available from the Academy directly.

GIRLS

Trousers MUST BE:

► Regular or slim fit.

Trousers MUST NOT BE:

► Skinny fit or a fit that resembles leggings,

► Short enough to expose socks or ankles,

► Stretch fit,

► Embellished with zips or buckles.

Skirts MUST BE:

► Black,

► Tailored,

► Pleated, A-line or Pencil style.

Skirts MUST NOT BE:

► Skinny fit, tube fit or stretch fit,

► Shorter than 2 inches above the knee,

► Made of jersey or ponte material.

Jewellery:

► Earrings - A maximum of one, plain stud in each ear. Expanding earrings are not permitted.

► Rings - One plain ring on any one finger.

► Piercings - All other forms of piercing, tattoos and facial jewellery are not permitted.

► Other - All other jewellery items are not permitted; including necklaces, bracelets and broaches.

Hair Styles MUST BE:

► Simple and ordinary,

► A natural colouring.

Hair Styles MUST NOT BE:

► Reflect the extremes of fashion,

► Be extravagantly coloured,

► Have designs shaved into them,

► Be accessorised with flowers or headbands,

► Be shorter than a number 1 that is graded on the sides.

Makeup:

► Excessive makeup is not permitted; in particular, bright or unnatural lipstick or mascara, thickened or false eye lashes and/or false nail extensions.
