AIM HIGH. BE PROUD. LOVE LIFE.

We are an 11-19, all ability College built upon a starting premise that everyone is made to feel welcome, safe and supported at Walker Technology College. We are an inclusive community that believes in maintaining strong partnerships with parents/carers and students to ensure that our learners thrive in a secure and stimulating environment. We are committed to providing a quality education where the individual is valued and respected.

Our College community is tolerant and respectful of the rich cultural diversity in Walker. We provide students with the skills and knowledge they need for a life after education. Our students graduate from the College with a sense of self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence. We promote a climate in which young people feel safe and secure. Our students learn the essence of what is right and wrong and they are encouraged to accept personal responsibility for their role within their community. We foster an environment of tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions by enabling students to acquire an appreciation of, and respect for, their own and other cultures and celebrate the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect.

High standards of dress, behaviour and achievement are at the core of our College, with no excuses. Together we celebrate our unique and longstanding traditions that promote opportunities for memorable curriculum to leave a lasting impression on all our stakeholders.

At Walker Technology College equality and opportunity are championed and encouraged at every opportunity. Every member of staff will promote these values throughout every aspect of College life. We have an incredible pastoral care system which supports students in fulfilling their opportunities whilst also ensuring their safeguarding is of the utmost priority. All students at Walker are treated equally and we have robust and established systems in place to ensure these principles are upheld. At Walker, we pride ourselves in the quality of our pastoral care, ensuring our students flourish during their time here.
