Ngaati Te Ata are tangata whenua of our rohe (area), our local Iwi. They are named after Te Ata-i-Rehia, a wahine toa of the Waiohua iwi who settled Taamaki.
As a Kaahui Ako we recognise Ngaati te Ata as mana whenua. We recognise them as kaitiaki of land, waterways, stories, language and histories of this place. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity, maanaaki, guidance and support of Ngaati Te Ata in our schools over many years.
