Parent/Guardian's Role in Safely Returning to School

To stay in school, we must commit to the following:

  • Help children practice using a mask prior to returning to school

  • Provide a mask for riding the bus (if you need one, please contact the office).

  • The school is providing multiple masks for each person on campus, as well as disposable masks and additional PPE. Masks will be required through the day, with breaks often. Cloth masks will be washed daily.

    • Provided masks will come in 3 sizes: Adult, youth, and child. All will have adjustable ear loops as well.

    • Students and adults may choose to wear the school-provided masks or bring a clean, 2 ply mask from home, during the school day.

  • If possible, provide transportation to/from school in order to reduce the number of riders on the bus. PLEASE CONTACT THE SCHOOL OFFICE IF THIS IS A POSSIBILITY.

  • All water fountains will be shut off, due to COVID-19, but our bottle fillers will be kept on for drink refills. Hydration is important!

    • Students should bring a clear water bottle to school It will be the student's responsibility to keep it clean and, if possible, bring it filled and ready each morning! A community member has donated water bottles for elementary students.

  • All attendance issues should go through the office. Please do not contact the teacher if your child is/will be absent or is ill.

    • Expect to be asked a series of questions related to their illness or absence, in order for the school to determine any necessary next steps.

  • Communicate with the office if:

    • your child has symptoms of COVID-19

    • Any allergies to latex, soaps, etc.

  • Keep children home if they display symptoms of COVID-19 (see image on the right)

  • Visitors will be restricted unless you have an emergency or an appointment. Please plan accordingly.

    • No lunch dates

    • No drop offs of forgotten items

    • Students will be dropped off at the front door
