Tabbing Help

Individual Events

1. Each VARSITY performer earns ONE team point for each “I” rating.

2. Rate and rank all VARSITY performers.

   1. RATING: They should be rated I, II, III, IV just like IHSSA.

      1. Again, each VARSITY performer earns ONE team point for each “I” rating.

      2. Read Judge Information tab to learn about procedures for giving “IV” ratings.

   2. RANKING: Performers are ranked 1-10 with all others receiving an 11 ranking.

      1. Based on their rankings, they will be honored with 1st, 2nd, 3rd medals provided by WaMaC.

      2. Each team earns points for rankings, to be added into their rating

         1. 1st = 5 points

         2. 2nd = 4 points

         3. 3rd = 3 points

         4. 4th = 2 points

         5. 5th = 1 point

3. An awards ceremony is to be held at the end of the contest, time permitting. We ask the 4th and 5th place performers to stand and be recognized. Performers in 3rd through 1st come forward to receive their medal. The winning team receives the WaMaC trophy.

Large Group

1. Each Varsity group earns ONE team point for each “I” rating.

   1. RATING: They should be rated I, II, III, IV just like IHSSA.

      1. Again, each VARSITY group earns ONE team point for each “I” rating.

      2. Read Judge Information tab to learn about procedures for giving “IV” ratings.

      3. RANKING: Groups are ranked 1-10 with all others receiving an 11 ranking.

         1. Based on their rankings, they will be honored with certificates.

         2. Each team earns points for rankings, to be added into their rating

            1. 1st = 5 points

            2. 2nd = 4 points

            3. 3rd = 3 points

            4. 4th = 2 points

            5. 5th = 1 point

2. An awards ceremony is to be held at the end of the contest, time permitting, announcing team standings and awarding the trophy to the 1st place team.

Tabbing at Contest

Joe Hegland (joehegland@w-delaware.k12.ia.us) has created some Google Sheets that can be used at contests.

There are 3 sheets to use/look at

-Centers (This sheet is where you will fill in the information for each center and during contest fill in the judge's rating)

-Events (This sheet is to see where each event is and fill in the ranking after they are done with the event)

-Schools (This sheet gives a breakdown of each school and the points earned for each school with a tab to show a summary of points)

When you are hosting contact him and he will get it setup for you and share it with you.
