There are CCF contingents in 500 schools all over the UK, offering young people a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational activities.
CCF units in schools give young people the life skills and self-confidence to take charge of their lives so they can reach their full potential at school and beyond, including their future employment.
Our aim is to enable the development of personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline.
Each CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence.
The CCF is a fully integrated part of the school, under the control of the Head Teacher, and all training is carried out with safety as the priority. The Ministry of Defence lays down tight guidelines for all our activities.
Cadets at the Vyne started in 1918 and has Army and RAF sections.
We are delighted that since September 2022 we are in partnership with Everest Community Academy and are taking Everest pupils into the Vyne School CCF.
The Everest Community Academy Head has said "Everest Community Academy is excited at this partnership and the students cannot wait to get started on their journey with CCF. It is such a wonderful opportunity for the students to engage with and to support their education through learning new life skills and working with other like minded young people."
