Description of the services specifically offered to VVSD students/families:
Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet Counseling Division will be providing school-based mental health services at Bolingbrook High School to provide students with accessible, integrated mental health support during school hours. This program is designed to enhance students' emotional and behavioral well-being while working collaboratively with academic and school support staff. By addressing mental health challenges directly within the school environment, the program helps students build resilience, improve academic performance, and foster long-term personal growth.
Students can receive services individually or in group settings, ensuring personalized support tailored to their needs. Additionally, family members of students at BHS can be referred to any of Catholic Charities’ Community Mental Health Centers for further counseling and access to community resources. By bridging the gap between education and mental health, Catholic Charities' goal is to help foster a supportive, empowering space where students can thrive both emotionally and academically.
