Lanyards

A wearable augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tool that hangs around the neck and displays key vocabulary, symbols, or signs on small cards or visuals. AAC lanyards provide quick access to commonly used words or phrases and support communication, modeling, and understanding throughout daily activities.

AAC lanyards may include core vocabulary, quick phrases, sign language reminders, or visual supports, and are often used by students, communication partners, or staff to make communication easier when a full AAC system is not immediately available.
