We interviewed Juliette Fornino, Sophia Alicea, and Breanna Fattorusso about their pets.
Marygold - A 6-year-old yellow parakeet. She is very loud when the water is running, and she is anti-social. She is very cute and loves to eat seeds. Also, she doesn't like to go on people’s fingers anymore.
Guspacho - A 2-year-old Jackabee. Also known as Gus, he is a very lazy, adorable dog. He loves attention and to play Frisbee. Gus enjoys rolling around in the snow after a long walk outside.
Jersey- A 3-year-old Brittany Spaniel with a smile on her face. She loves to be cuddled and is very sweet. She also loves to go bird hunting and loves playing in the snow. Jersey has fun when she goes to Wawayanda State Park and likes to run around in the woods.
Charlie- A 12 week old Brittany Spaniel. He loves to sleep, steal Jerseys food, and play outside. His favorite toy is a little duck that squeaks. (He and Jersey fight over it) Fun Fact: Jersey and Charlie are biological siblings and were born three years and two days apart.
Cooper- A 4-year-old lop-eared rabbit. He lives in the laundry room but he loves it there. He sleeps behind the dryer and washing machine. Cooper also loves to throw his food all over the place.
Vincent D'Antonio interviewed some of the Gen Meadow basketball players. Tristan Santiago, Luca Vizzini, Franco Luna, and Ben Jurewicz got interveiwed.
November was Basketball tryouts and as a result Glen Meadow Boys Basketball has a team of 20 boys for both JV and Varsity. After lots of practice and running drills, these talented hardworking young men started off this year with a great game against Sussex Wantage with a final score for Varsity of 60-20 and for JV 41-7. The boys continually won each and every game following the season opener. The boy’s first home game on Thursday January 9th against Hardyston was another win for the team with a final score of 48 to 7. We interviewed one of the team captains, Owen Lally about the practice and Owen said, “They have been practicing five days a week for 2 ½ hours a day.” Clearly the practice has paid off. The boys sadly lost one game against North Warren and by only one point. However, that doesn’t change the fact that they have won every other game. Mr. Oakes says he could not be more proud of the team this year. We can´t forget the JV team. The JV team has won every game with some impressive scores of 41-7 against Sussex Wantage, 46-8 against Franklin, and 42-14 against Hardyston. Both teams continually work hard every day and clearly their hard work shows. Watch the interview and see what the captains have to say.
Girls also had tryouts in November and have been hard at work! There are 10 players each for the JV and Varsity teams with ten 6th graders, seven 7th graders, and three 8th graders. As you can see this is a very young team. The teams are working on their defense and offense plays. They are building their skills and teamwork through drills and different plays. The girl won their last game against Sussex Wantage with Jamie Lefort, Victoria Cancel, and Grace Dobrinski all scoring. Coach Ciani is doing great coaching the girls this season with the assistance of Coach Gonnelli. They had a close game against the Hardyston Hornets, and Vernon won. The girl’s basketball team is working hard and improving with every game that they play.

Morgan's out of school hobby is scuba diving. Scuba diving requires a lot of training and different tests just to get certified. She is certified in open water diving. The deepest Morgan is certified to go to is 60 feet below sea level. To get certified she had to learn the basics and the most important rules. Some of those rules are; Never hold your breath, and if something doesn't feel right, don't dive. Morgan said, "Diving is fun because when you are underwater, you could be there for an hour and never need to come up for air. You can see so many amazing natural and man-made wonders down there and it is just spectacular!"
Slowly increase sensitivity (tip: if you have ever played a video game try dividing the sensitivity slider into two sections based on past if you have always been on the high end start there and adjust and vice versa)
Change crosshair color (changing the crosshair color is for tryhards keep it white)
Obi Wan has the highest blocking stamina ( this may be good for any people who like to go 1v1 with hero)
Darth Maul has the highest attacking stamina ( this may be good for attacking large amounts of troops)
Find which guns fit the certain situation ( To be specific the cr2 is great for close combat and most battle rifle can go from mid to far range)
The officer earns the most battle points ( Also play the objective it will give you points and you can get points from the kills you get defending it so play objective or else you will get some angry gamer bois)
When using the officer use your battle command on your team to help out your team and get extra battle points
Also use the battle command when you first spawn to get more people there by giving you a ton of battle points right when you start
In Heroes vs Villains stay with your team and work together this will make sure that you don't get teamed up on by three high level heroes.
Try to pick the cards that go best with your heroes/villains for example if they have a health regeneration card or a card that increases your damage you should equip those
For Emperor Palpatine you should equip the cards that increases his lightnings range and lowers the stamina cost of the lightning
First person is for a more immersive experience and limits your vision
Third person is more competitive and increases your vision, allowing you to peek around corners
When you first start playing this game you want to start in quick play or custom matches with your friends once you are high enough level
Make sure you are comfortable with your sensitivity
Start off with easy operators such as Cavera and Ash
Make sure your breakable walls are reinforced
Lean to peek around the corners with more cover
Crouch to make yourself a smaller target
Rappel up walls to get through windows or to different vantage points
Break through walls near the objective if you can to make new openings and place to shoot from
To win the match you have to do the objective or take out the rest of the team
Don't peek hold angles
The Art Club is run by Mrs. Ulrich. We asked the students Matt Brandt, Gracie Barbarise, and Morgan Gandy a few questions about Art club. The first question we asked them was,” What are they currently doing in that club”? Matt answered with “In art club, I’m currently making sketches of characters using references and images and putting my own spin in them; this includes giving these characters custom clothes and facial expressions.” Morgan replied that she is currently working on painting a chair, and Gracie said that she is currently making a tiara. The second question that we asked them was, “To you, what is Art Club all about”? Matt said “Taking an idea and seeing how far you can go with it, being in Art Club gives me a chance to show my creative abilities.” Morgan answer saying that Art Club is all about putting your feelings into an art piece. Gracie said “Art Club is all about painting and hanging out with your friends.” The last and final question we asked was, What is the best part about Art club? Matt said the ability to work independently in a quiet space. Morgan said hanging out with friends, and Gracie said figuring out who you are in a club. If you are interested in expressing yourself artistically, Art Club is a great place for you!
The Chess and Game Club run my Mrs. Grimaldi. We asked the students Joseph Russo and Corey Bloomfield questions about this club. The first question we asked them was, “What are you currently doing in this club?” Joseph Russo and Corey Bloomfield both responded they are just playing board games with friends. We also asked them about their favorite game to play. Joseph Russo likes to play Guess Who, and Corey Bloomfield enjoys Connect 4. The last question we asked them was, “Why did you join the Chess and Game club.” Joseph Russo says he likes the games and enjoys the snacks while Corey Bloomfield replied that he experienced a game club from his old school and has fun with the games they play. We still wanted a little more information on this club so we interviewed Mrs.Grimaldi. We asked her what she wants the kids to learn from this club and why she thinks students should join this Chess and Game Club. Mrs. Grimaldi says she wanted the kids to socialize and she wanted them to challenge their minds with more complex games like chess. She wanted them to learn how to strategize. She also said kids wanting to meet new people, make new friends, and just do something different Chess and Game Club is a great place!
