In this course, students will be covering basic banking with checking and savings accounts (online), and practicing how to analyze income and tax forms, problem-solve budgeting challenges, and gain an understanding of credit cards, loans, in order to think critically about retirement and saving for their future.

In this adult-focused Health Literacy class, students will learn to navigate aspects of the healthcare industry in order to process and analyze health-related challenges and advocate for themselves and others. From understanding medical costs and health insurance systems, to accessing healthcare resources in our community, students will be equipped to access information needed to problem solve and make decisions about their health.

The Civics curriculum is provided in two courses - Civics 1 and Civics 2. Students need to complete Civics 1 before enrolling in Civics 2.
In Civics 1, students will gain a foundational knowledge of the structure and functions of the US government systems. Students will be able to navigate the intricate systems of government in order to process information to develop and communicate their beliefs.
In Civics 2, students will evaluate and define their personal value system. Utilizing these values, students will explore topics and events in the current political landscape and learn about various viewpoints related to each topic, and decide which of the topics is most important to them when making everyday decisions, voting, and standing up for the causes they believe in most.

In this class, students will follow a flexible, customized, 21st-century unit plan designed to support seeking, obtaining, and retaining employment. Topics covered include best practices in obtaining marketable skills, sourcing references, and navigating common workplace challenges. This class culminates in a series of one-on-one coaching sessions to create a transition plan that will guide you through the steps in your career.
Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 beginning May 4, 2026.
Students will follow the design process to identify and solve a problem using digital resources. Problems can include anything from home & family life, the workplace, community, wellness, or technology.
