The MEng CS program does NOT HAVE A LITERAL FINAL EXAM. What you are scheduling is an administrative trigger for the Graduate School to review your record for graduation. The Final Exam/Evaluation is for degree verification purposes only. Because the final exam/evaluation serves only as a trigger for the Graduate School to review your record, you do not need to report in person at the scheduled exam time on either campus.

Follow instructions to schedule the Final Exam/Evaluation in the VT ESS system.
NOTE: You may receive a confirmation screen that says you will be graduating in a different term (not Summer 2025.) Disregard this notice. Non-thesis exams are scheduled after grades are due, which has the exams falling outside of the current semester. Please be assured that your MEng CS degree is being reviewed for conferral in Summer 2025.

Students must have a Graduate School approved Plan of Study
Simultaneous degree students do not utilize the VT ESS System to schedule their Final Exam/Evaluation. They must submit a separate form. Please send your Graduate Academic Advisor an email for the form.

Login with a VT PID to the VT ESS System (https://ess.graduateschool.vt.edu/pages/login.php)
Use the “click here” link to log in with 2-factor authentication
At the right side of the screen “Create Final Exam/Evaluation Request”
Enter the Exam/Evaluation Date as August 19th 2025
Enter Exam/Evaluation Time as 8:00 a.m.
Building: Type "Innovation Campus Academic" in the box. Select from the drop-down menu "Innovation Campus Academic" for BLACKSBURG and NVC students
Room Number: Select "2700 Innovation Campus Academic Bdg" for BLACKSBURG and NVC students
Check the box confirming that you are enrolled for the evaluation term
Confirm that your student information is correct
If student information is incorrect, go to Hokie SPA to correct your personal information
SAVE the evaluation request (bottom right corner)
REVIEW and SUBMIT your request (bottom right corner) to the Graduate School
