Course Description:

Computer Science I introduces students to computer science and programming concepts. Students will learn the fundamentals of programming concepts using the text-based version of Python. The course will focus on solving computational fun and engaging graphics-based lessons and activities. NO prior programming experience is required.

Expected Learner Outcomes:

I will be able to develop an efficient algorithm for writing programs utilizing various programming concepts and determine the appropriate language.
I will be able to create descriptive comment codes for my program.
I will be able to write a program that creates a variety of outputs to the screen.
I will be able to write a program using one or more of the following conditional statements: if, if-else, if-elseif, switch.
I will be able to write a program that effectively uses loops.
