Course Description:  

This course is designed to expose students to technology in the 21st century.  Students will learn how to build and program VEX IQ robots to drive fixed distances and patterns.   They will also understand safe strategies for using the Internet.  Students will develop and refine their word processing skills by creating memos, letters, reports and other computer related assignments.  

Essential Learner Outcomes:  

·        Demonstrate proper input techniques for the keyboard.  

·        Gain tools to avoid and report online dangers.  Understand how to use Internet Resources wisely.  

·        Identify and explain the basic parts of a VEX IQ robot

·        Differentiate different forms of correspondence and identify their correct format and usage.  

·        Use Google mail to communicate electronically with instructor in a proper manner.  

·        Demonstrate the basic concepts of programming using Robot C.
