This is my ninth year at Voyager Academy Elementary School and I am looking forward to some more first grade fun! I’m excited to see these first graders grow as I’ve experienced first hand the positive environment that is created by a supportive administration, an enthusiastic staff and actively involved families.

In December 2009 I earned a Master’s degree in Teaching from SUNY Plattsburgh with experience teaching students from pre-kindergarten to the undergraduate level. Following graduation, I made my move to the great state of North Carolina where I continued to pursue my teaching career through involvement in pre-kindergarten classrooms and volunteering with the Reach Out and Read program at WakeMed Hospital.

I was born and raised on Long Island, NY with two older brothers, wonderful parents and the best dogs a girl could ask for. I live in Durham with my husband Ben and our sons, August and Quinn. In my free time I love to relax with friends and family, read, hike, and travel.

I can’t wait to meet you all and make some wonderful first grade memories!
