I am thrilled to begin my fifth year teaching at Voyager Academy! I have wanted to have my very own classroom ever since I can remember. I believe that creating a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels safe should be every teacher’s number one goal. I also believe that creating a love for learning in each student is essential. I feel so lucky to teach at such an amazing school that shares these values with me!

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education and a concentration in science. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students’ bright and shining faces walk through the door every morning!

I am originally from Cary, North Carolina and am now living in Durham. One of my favorite hobbies is watching hockey. I love to go to Carolina Hurricanes games during the hockey season! I also enjoy baking, shopping, and playing with my 2 dogs. I have an 9 year-old Chihuahua, Sammie, and a 3 year old pit-bull mix, Layla. I can't wait to start this new academic year at Voyager Academy and get to know all your children!
