The Nat is more focused on their hatred for white people as a whole. They were seen as revengeful, bloodthirsty, angry, and crazed. The caricature was created during slavery a time of very dehumanizing torture and treatment of the black race. So, it makes sense that the Nat hated their enslavers and wanted to physically assault or kill them.Â
