The Nat

This is similar but very different from the brute. The brute was more centered around the rape of white women and their protection. The Nat is more focused on their hatred for white people as a whole. They were seen as revengeful, bloodthirsty, angry, and crazed. The caricature was created during slavery a time of very dehumanizing torture and treatment of the black race. So, it makes sense that the Nat hated their enslavers and wanted to physically assault or kill them.
