Eric's Web Journal

 “It’ll be like the L.A. riots, the Oklahoma bombing, WWII, Vietnam, Duke and Doom all mixed together. I want to leave a lasting impression on the world” is one example of the violent ideas that Eric frequently wrote about in his physical and online journal. Eric discussed the plans for the attack including a to-do list of items he needed to buy before the shooting. He also discussed dreams of a bigger attack and wanting to "kick up natural selection". Along with his physical journal that depicted violent images, he had an internet blog that he frequently updated. In one of the posts, he uploaded the address of one of the former friends of the two shooters, Brooks Brown. Brooks saw this and notified his parents and the police who failed to investigate the matter. This artifact is helpful in giving a very accurate description of the shooter's thought processes that led to one of the worst school shootings in history.
