At the time of the shooting, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold had no diagnosed psychological issues; however, psychologists have now diagnosed Eric as a psychopath and Dylan with having a depressive disorder. Both were suicidal but Eric Harris seemed more interested in inflicting pain in others while Dylan Klebold was more interested in ending his own pain. They also both felt isolated from society which was a common theme in both their journals. Bullying at Columbine High School was a common reason that people believed was the motive behind the attach, but this has been disproved by many students at the school who said the shooters were not bullied. Along with their psychological issues, other warning signs were shown. Before the shooting, Harris and Klebold engaged in different types of crime ranging from toilet papering houses to breaking into a van. Their crimes and threats were repeatedly reported to police, but little was done to stop their harm.Â
