We drew our hand (mine is my left hand, since I'm right-handed) at the start and end of this semester. We were told not to look at our paper when we draw to perceive our hands more, and practice “hand-eye coordination.”
Also, I forgot to bring my pencil case to the first drawing session, and only found a red pen after digging through my backpack. Unfortunately, I couldn't control the pen, I don't use pens often.
We didn't learn any solid techniques, though. But I learned that looking at my paper was also important.
I think this question is for people who don't know their hand well, as a person who likes to think of the reasons for stuff, I've been staring at my (and others') hand muscles and bones since consciousness appeared, I could draw a hand even if I don't look, I believe (because no one would know whether it was my hand or a random hand).
I think what I wrote before this section is meaningful enough, but what I concluded after this activity is that pencils are such great inventions! Although they weren't as cool and cheap nor as eco-friendly (no ink for changing) as pens, but pencils are erasable (the erasable pens aren't totally erasable...) and easy to control (the friction)!
