Affordable Design and Entrepreneurship is a class that is set up like an internship, where during the semester my assigned team worked for a startup QueenTech. This is a Ghanaian-based company that designs, builds, and sells food processing equipment. I have embedded our Posters from the Babson/Olin community poster session run by this class to provide some context on QueenTech.
In this class, my team developed a "Theory of Change"
Queentech, with the assistance of ADE students, will develop, manufacture, and equip women in Ghana with food processing machines. The machines allow them to process staple foods safely, independently, and efficiently. This leads to these women growing their businesses and gaining operational independence.
During this class I did research into a new tooling for manufacturing the head of the grating machines made by QueenTech. I have attached my Assumption test Report below. This is an assignment completed to document work done on the project each semester, as there are different students joining each semester.
