Led the design of a modified laundry basket system targeting independence for older adults with challenges in carrying heavy loads downstairs. Collaborated closely with an older adult community partner to discern needs and pain points, co-designing the solution. Employed an iterative design approach, crafting prototypes and the final product for the laundry transportation device. Conducted thorough observations and safety tests across all development stages, prioritizing user well-being and product excellence. Utilized Solidworks for modeling, machine shop resources for laser cutting and manufacturing, as well as 3D printing and vinyl cutting for prototypes.
