In the workshop, we learned that electric balances are used to measure mass with a high level of accuracy. They work by using electrical signals to balance the weight of an object. We practiced turning on the balance, using the tare function to zero it, and carefully placing objects on the balance to get correct measurements. We also learned why electric balances are more accurate than regular scales and how things like dirt, movement, or air can affect the results. The workshop helped us understand how important electric balances are in science experiments.
