During a workshop, we learned that a lab notebook is an organized record scientists use to document every part of an experiment. It includes the date, purpose, materials, steps, observations, and results, all written clearly so others can understand and repeat the work. We were taught to write in ink, keep entries neat, and cross out mistakes instead of erasing them to maintain accuracy. The workshop showed that lab notebooks are important for tracking progress, avoiding errors, and providing reliable proof of what was done during an experiment.
