Personal Brand Guideline
Create Your Online Presence
Create Your Online Presence
Before you can confidently show your work to clients, you need a personal brand identity. Think of it as your signature style — the look and feel that makes your portfolio and outputs instantly recognizable as yours.
Even if you’re just starting out, having a simple brand guideline will make your work look more professional and consistent. Clients notice when your colors, fonts, and tone all align, because it reflects your attention to detail and creativity.
Objective
The goal of this task is to create a basic brand guideline that you can use as the foundation for your portfolio website and mock-up projects. This will help you stay consistent and show clients that you treat your VA work like a real business.
What You’ll Gain
A one-page brand board (made in Canva) that defines your colors, fonts, logo, and tone.
A professional identity that makes your portfolio and outputs stand out.
A clear style guide you can apply to your designs, captions, and website.
Confidence in presenting yourself as a VA with your own unique brand personality.
Choose Your Colors
Select 2–3 main colors that best represent your personality or style (e.g., pastel, bold, or neutral tones).
💡 Tip: Use Canva’s Color Palette Generator to explore and save your chosen palette.
Pick Your Fonts
Choose 1 font for headings and 1 font for body text. Keep them simple, clean, and easy to read.
Example: Poppins for body + Playfair Display for headings.
Create a Simple Logo
Design a basic logo in Canva (free version works perfectly).
It can be text-based (your name + tagline) or a simple icon that represents your brand.
Define Your Style
List 3–4 keywords that describe your brand tone and personality.
Example: Professional, Friendly, Organized, Reliable.
👉 Deliverable:
A one-page brand board (made in Canva) that includes your chosen colors, fonts, logo, and style keywords. This will serve as your personal brand guide and the foundation for your portfolio.
