For the production task my group needed to create a short film intro. We evenly split the recording of shots. After filming, we used Premiere Pro to edit the film. We used the storyboard to merge in cuts of the clips.
Me and one other team member each made a version of our film and we then took the best of the two films and merged them together based on feedback.
I shot these two clips myself. The first one features a trainer on grass, and my aim was to create a shallow depth of field, with all the focus on the shoe and the background blurred out. I believe I was successful in achieving this effect, as the character in the background appears to be oblivious to the situation, and the focus is solely on the shoe.
The second clip was the climax of our film, and therefore, it needed to be excellent. I took charge of the shot, as I was determined to get the blood dripping down the noose in focus, with the main character slowly emerging from the background. I had to direct the actor on how to walk through the scene, and you can hear me talking over the clip, instructing him on how to walk towards the noose.
Overall, I am satisfied with the outcome of this shot, as I was able to capture the intended effect successfully.
