I was placed in a group of 3 to produce a film. The guidance was to keep the film simple, the genre was horror and it had to be an opening scene. We were given all the pre production tasks and we had to allocate them evenly and logically, for example, we gave the shot list and shooting schedule to the same person as these had to be worked on together. We tried to balance out the work, allocating it fairly between hard tasks and more straight forward tasks.
We gave ourselves two weeks to complete the work with a strict deadline so that we could begin filming as soon as possible. We wanted as much time as possible for the filming itself, as we didn't have much experience of filming and we knew we would need time to learn how to use the equipment, how to film effectively, how to work as a team and cope with any unknown issues.
