Drawing on multimodal conversation analysis, particularly the frameworks developed by Lorenza Mondada and Charles Goodwin, this research examines how embodied and material resources are mobilized alongside talk to accomplish interactional projects.
Topics include:
• Multimodal repetition (gesture, gaze, body posture) in ELF interactions
• Membership categorization and 'foreigner' identity in multimodal Korean university interactions
• The use of multimodal resources in L2 classroom talk
Data are video-recorded and analyzed using Jeffersonian-based multimodal transcription conventions (following Mondada 2018).
