Vietnamese Nationalism and Baiyueism are also critical parts of the YNM. Although they do not have as much influence and sway in our movement as Chinese Nationalism, they do indeed still have some influence. Part of this is Baiyueism itself. The unity of Cantonese People and Vietnamese People is something that has lasted historically for ages and ages, and although the two of them may be divided by a border, they can never be ethnically or genetically divided. Many Cantonese Nationalists also see Vietnamese as brothers and sisters. We share the Baiyue lineage and history. This cannot be washed away, no matter how hard the People's Republic will try. Cantonese People may be considered vaguely & broadly as "Chinese" People, but we cannot deny the connection with Vietnamese People. We are the center between Chinese and Vietnamese. We are the center of South China.
