Cantonese Nationalism itself is a relatively "new" ideology that hasn't been explicitly prevalent in most of history. It has existed in different separate forms, but never as official "Cantonese Nationalism". Cantonese People, or at least many of them are very patriotic and proud of being Cantonese. Historically we have played a large role in China. We have led many uprisings, revolutions and we are a cornerstone of Chinese History. China would not be the same without us. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the Father of China, Founder of the Kuomintang, was a Cantonese Man. He was born in Cuiheng, Guangdong and he created the Three Principles of the People, or San-Min Doctrine.
Cantonese People should embrace this feeling of Patriotism and Nationalism to their own culture, and it should be furthered. This is why the movement has been created, and this is what it will uphold.
