Our objective is not to merely overthrow the Chinese Communist Party and expel them from southern China. This goal is unrealistic, and frankly unnecessary. While it would be ideal in a perfect world, we are pragmatic and with it we wish for a society where Yue Chinese, or Cantonese people are recognized and seen as separate from the majority Mandarin Chinese. Many would argue something along the lines of this: "You are basically Chinese though, how can this be?". Although you could consider us "Chinese", this still does not present much of a valid argument. Cantonese people are descended from the Baiyue tribes which inhabited ancient Southern China & Vietnam. Even look at an image of an average Northern Chinese person & an average Southern Chinese person. The facial features are very different. You can even look up images of an average Vietnamese person, and yet you still see more similarities between the Southern Chinese man & woman and the Vietnamese man & woman. People should not dismiss this, because it is a critical part of the argument. Cantonese people are also genetically related to Vietnamese people, and historically, many are genetically closer to Vietnamese people. This may vary based on what region of Cantonese China or Vietnam you come from, but the connection still exists and to say that it does not is simply ignorant. Cantonese people must take a stand and make themselves heard. Not violently, and not in a matter of rioting or protesting. But simply by forming network connections online to facilitate their ideas for Cantonese Nationalism. Given the state of the current government & their policy on opposition to the government, even a pragmatic movement like ours can be subject to oppression by the CCP. This is why people must be peaceful. Similar to the "Milk Tea Alliance", in which Asian users online spoke about their wishes for Asian democracy & freedom, Cantonese people should do the same, and I urge them to continue the struggle for their place in the world & for the Cantonese Culture, Language, and People to be strong once again without fear of extinction at the hands of the Mandarin. While Han Nationalism & Vietnamese Nationalism do exist, I propose a third alternative which someewhat fuses the two; Cantonese, or simply, Yue Nationalism.
