Y Cyngor Ysgol

Credwn yn gryf y dylid cynnwys y disgylbion ym mhob agwedd o fywyd yr ysgol. Mae’r Cyngor Ysgol yn ffordd i sicrhau bod y disgyblion yn ganolog o ran materion sy'n ymwneud â’r ysgol ac yn medru gwneud penderfyniadau sydd yn bwysig iddynt.

Yn ddiweddar mae’r cyngor ysgol wedi cynnal awdit amgylcheddol o’r ysgol gyda ffocws penodol ar adeilad yr ysgol a’r ardaloedd allanol. Yn ystod yr awdit nododd y cyngor ysgol nifer o feysydd ar gyfer gwella. Yn dilyn yr awdit, ysgrifennodd y cyngor ysgol lythyr at Mr Simon Davies (Pennaeth Mynediad i Addysg) yn gofyn am gefnogaeth ariannol i'n cynorthwyo i gwblhau’r gwaith angenrheidiol. Roeddem yn hynod falch o dderbyn ymateb gan Mr. Davies ac yn dilyn ymweliad gan arolygydd adeiladau’r cyngor mae’r cyngor wedi cytuno i gefnogi’r ysgol i’n galluogi i wella'r safle ac adeiladau’r ysgol.

We strongly believe in involving the pupils in all areas of school life. The school council is a way of ensuring that the pupils are at the heart of school matters and are able to make important decisions that are important to them.

Recently the school council have undertaken an environmental audit of the school with a specific focus on the school building and outdoor areas. During the audit the school council identified a number of areas that require improvement. Following the audit the school councilwrote a letter to Mr Simon Davies (Head of access to education) asking for possible financial support to complete the works required. We were incredibly pleased to receive a responsefrom Mr. Davies and following a visit by the council’s buildings inspector the council have agreed to support the school to enable us to improve the school site and buildings.

Cyngor Eco / Eco Council

Mae’r Cyngor Eco yn bwyllgor ymroddedig o fewn ein hysgol sy’n anelu at hybu ymwybyddiaeth amgylcheddol a chynaladwyedd ymhlith ein disgyblion. Ein prif ddiben yw meithrin diwylliant o eco-gyfrifoldeb, gan annog myfyrwyr, staff a’r gymuned ehangach i fabwysiadu arferion ecogyfeillgar. Mae'r cyngor yn nodi meysydd i'w gwella o fewn tiroedd ein hysgol a'r gymuned ehangach, gan ganolbwyntio ar leihau gwastraff, arbed ynni, a hyrwyddo bioamrywiaeth.

Rydym yn cymryd rhan mewn amrywiaeth o weithgareddau, gan gynnwys trefnu sesiynau codi sbwriel, gweithredu mentrau ailgylchu, a defnydd parhaus o ardd yr ysgol i wella bioamrywiaeth leol. Mae’r Cyngor Eco yn ymdrechu i gael effaith ystyrlon, gan sicrhau bod ein hysgol nid yn unig yn cadw at safonau amgylcheddol ond hefyd yn ysbrydoli eraill i ddilyn yr un trywydd. Rydym yn cydnabod pwysigrwydd meithrin cenhedlaeth sy'n gwerthfawrogi ac yn amddiffyn ein planed.

Rydym yn falch o gyhoeddi ein bod wedi ennill statws Platinwm o dan Eco-Sgolion Cymru. Mae ennill y wobr Platinwm yn dyst i waith caled ac ymroddiad ein cymuned gyfan. Rydym yn cael ein harolygu bob dwy flynedd i sicrhau ein bod yn cynnal y safonau uchaf o addysg a rheolaeth amgylcheddol.

The Eco Council is a dedicated committee within our school that aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among our pupils. Our primary purpose is to foster a culture of eco-responsibility, encouraging students, staff and the wider community alike to adopt environmentally friendly practices. The council identifies areas for improvement within our school grounds and broader community, focusing on reducing waste, conserving energy, and promoting biodiversity.

We engage in a variety of activities, including the organisation of litter picks, the implementation of recycling initiatives, and the continuous use of the school garden to enhance local biodiversity. The Eco Council strives to make a meaningful impact, ensuring that our school not only adheres to environmental standards but also inspires others to follow suit. We recognise the importance of nurturing a generation that values and protects our planet.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded Platinum status under Eco Schools Wales. Achieving the Platinum award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire community. We undergo inspections every two years to ensure we maintain the highest standards of environmental education and management.

Hybu clybiau chwaraeon sy'n bod eisoes yn yr ysgol a rhai newydd.
Annerch gwasanaeth yr ysgol a'r llywodraethwyr ynghylch manteision gweithgarwch corfforol.
Sicrhau bod iechyd meddwl a lles disgyblion yn dda.

What does a Wellbeing Ambassador do?

Plan and deliver extra-curricular clubs for Foundation Phase up to Yrs 6.
Update school sport notice board and website.
Promote existing and new sport clubs within the school.
Speak in school assembly and to school governors about the benefits of physical activity.
Ensure pupils metal health and wellbeing is good.

Y Criw Cymraeg

This is a committee of children who feel passionately about the Welsh language and Welshness. We are currently aiming to receive the Language Charter Silver award. The Ambassadors meet to discuss ideas.

Our intention is that every child chooses to speak good Welsh in every aspect of school life and beyond.

The hope is that all children take pride in Welsh language, culture and traditions. Speaking two languages opens doors to a much more diverse community, world of work and social life. Two languages means twice the choice.

Dyma bwyllgor o blant sydd yn teimlo’n angerddol dros yr iaith Gymraeg a Chymreictod. Ar hyn o bryd rydym yn anelu i dderbyn gwobr Arian y Siarter Iaith. Mae’r Llysgenhadon yn cwrdd er mwyn trafod syniadau.

Ein bwriad yw bod pob plentyn yn dewis siarad Cymraeg graenus ym mhob agwedd o fywyd yr ysgol a thu hwnt.

Y gobaith yw bod pob plentyn yn ymfalchïo yn iaith, diwylliant a thraddodiadau Cymreig.

Mae siarad dwy iaith yn agor drysau i gymuned , byd gwaith a bywyd cymdeithasol llawer mwy amrywiol. Mae dwy iaith yn golygu dwywaith y dewis.

Our role is to:

Upgrading parts of the school's website (teacher supervision.)
Write a newsletter every half term
Testing and reviewing new ICT resources, which could be websites, software or hardware.
Sharing our skills and expertise with other pupils, classes and teachers.
Assembling ICT equipment in classrooms for teachers.
Leading ICT Clubs at lunchtime
Support teachers in using ICT in the classroom.

Yn Ysgol Llanybydder, mae lles ein disgyblion yn hollbwysig. Cymaint felly ein bod wedi buddsoddi mewn system wych o’r enw Speakr. Mae’n caniatáu i blant gofnodi sut maen nhw’n teimlo bob bore wrth gyrraedd yr ysgol trwy ddewis un o lawer o wynebau emoji sy’n esbonio sut y maent yn teimlo orau ar y pwynt penodol hwnnw. Mae hefyd yn caniatáu iddynt roi rheswm dros eu teimladau. Beth sy’n wych am Speakr yw nad oes cyswllt wyneb yn wyneb fel bod disgyblion yn gallu bod yn gwbl onest heb deimlo embaras neu’n poeni am siarad ag oedolyn. Mae gan y disgyblion hawl i ddanfon neges/euon at unrhyw aelod o staff yn uniongyrchol. Caiff y system hon ei monitro’n agos gan yr athrawon dosbarth bob bore er mwyn delio â materion lles yn gyflym.

Mae’r system yn caniatáu inni fonitro a thracio lles pob disgybl i sicrhau eu bod yn hapus ac yn ddiogel.

At Llanybydder School, the well-being of our pupils is paramount. So much so that we have invested in a fantastic system called Speakr. It allows children to record how they feel each morning on arrival at school by choosing one of many emoji faces which best explains how they feel at that particular point. It also allows them to give a reason for their feelings. The beauty of Speakr is that there is no initial face to face contact so pupils are able to be completely honest without feeling embarrassed or worried about talking to an adult. The pupils have the facitlity to message any member of staff directly. This system is monitored closely by the class teachers every morning so any wellbeing issues can be dealt with swiftly.

The system also allows us to closely monitor and track the wellbeing of each pupil to ensure that they are happy, safe and secure.

Llysgenhadon Gwych / Super Abassadors

Mae Comisiynydd Plant Cymru yma i sicrhau bod holl blant a phobl ifanc Cymru yn dod i wybod am eu hawliau. Mae’r hawliau hyn yn bethau sydd angen ar blant a phobl ifanc i fod yn ddiogel, yn iach ac yn hapus. Mae gan y Cenhedloedd Unedig restr o’r holl hawliau sydd gan blant. Enw’r rhestr hon yw Confensiwn y Cenhedloedd Unedig ar Hawliau’r Plentyn, neu CCUHP yn fyr.

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales is there to make sure that all children and young people in Wales find out about their rights. These rights are the things that children need to be safe, healthy and happy. The United Nations has a list of all the rights that children have. The list is called the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, or UNCRC for short.
