Builtriva
Builtriva ("Builtriva", "we", "our", or "us") is a construction management platform that helps companies, engineers, site teams, and vendors manage projects, drawings, progress, labor attendance, materials, and approvals. It is available as a website and as Android and iOS mobile apps.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, and protected when you use the Builtriva website, the Builtriva mobile apps, and the demo and return-on-investment (ROI) request forms on our public website.
By using Builtriva, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Name, email address, and phone number
Your role (for example admin, engineer, site engineer, or vendor)
Your password, which we store only as a one-way hash and never in readable form
Depending on your role, you may provide:
National ID (NID), address, and authority code
Profession type, vendor type, and vendor company name
Office address and trade licence number
The company you belong to
An optional profile picture
Information you add while using the Service, including:
Project details, drawings, documents, and site photos
Tasks and progress updates
Labor attendance records
Material requests, material usage, and inventory records
Approvals and decisions, together with who made them and when
If you submit a demo or ROI request on our public website, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, company name, job title, work email, phone number, preferred demo date, and the project and cost figures you provide. These details are stored in Google Sheets.
We collect standard server logs, such as IP address, time of request, the page or API requested, and browser or device type. We use them for security and to find and fix errors.
Sign-in tokens, which are stored in your browser on the website and in encrypted secure storage in the mobile apps
Your language and theme preferences
Signing out clears the sign-in tokens from your device.
We use information to:
Create and secure your account and sign you in
Provide app functionality, apply role-based access, and record approvals
Let other authorized members of your project and company see the information they need to work with you
Respond to support requests and follow up on demo and ROI requests
Keep the Service reliable and secure, and prevent misuse
Comply with legal obligations
The mobile apps request only the permissions needed for features you choose to use:
Camera: Used only when you choose to take a progress photo.
Photos and files: Used only when you choose to attach an image or document from your device.
Internet: Used to connect to the Builtriva service.
The apps do not ask for your location, contacts, or microphone. You can revoke a permission at any time in your device settings. Features that need that permission will then stop working.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertisements, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
Builtriva is a collaboration tool, so information you add is visible to other authorized people on the same project or company. For example:
Project team lists show members' names, roles, email addresses, and phone numbers.
Company admins can see the profile details that vendors provide, such as company name, trade licence, and ID details, for vendors assigned to their projects.
Progress updates, photos, labor logs, material records, and approvals show who recorded them.
We share information with service providers that help us run Builtriva, as described in the next section.
We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of users or Builtriva, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
Builtriva uses the following third-party services, which process information under their own privacy policies:
Google Cloud: Hosting, database, and file storage for the Service.
Google Sheets: Where demo and ROI requests are recorded.
Google Fonts: Used by the website. Your browser requests fonts from Google, which receives your IP address.
At present, Builtriva does not use third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising tools.
Account information: Kept while your account is active.
After you delete your account: Your contact details, password, ID details, and profile picture are erased.
Project records: Progress updates, labor logs, material records, approvals, drawings, and files are kept after an account is deleted, because they belong to the project and the company, and other people rely on them. They remain linked to your name and role, shown as a deleted user, and no longer include your contact details or ID details.
Server logs and backups: Logs are kept for a limited period. Backups may hold deleted data briefly before they are overwritten.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve a dispute.
You can delete your account yourself at any time:
Mobile app: Open the Profile tab, tap Delete account, and confirm with your password.
Website: Open Profile, choose Delete account, and confirm with your password.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore your information or your access to projects. You can sign up again later with the same email and phone number, but the new account starts empty and is not linked to the old one.
Some accounts, such as the only approved admin of a company, cannot be deleted until another person takes over.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Data travels between your device and our servers over HTTPS, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, access to project data is limited by role and company, and the mobile apps keep sign-in tokens in encrypted storage.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Builtriva is for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate, including outside your country of residence. When information is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards, subject to applicable data protection laws.
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the right to:
Access the information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information (you can edit your details under Profile)
Request deletion of your information (you can delete your account as described above)
Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing
Receive a copy of your information
Withdraw consent where we rely on it
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Builtriva is designed to comply with applicable Google Play and Apple App Store policies on user privacy, permissions, and data handling. The apps access the camera and your photos or files only to provide features you choose to use, and they offer in-app account deletion.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we will also notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Builtriva after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
