Finalizing Your Survey

REVIEW FOR FACILITATORS

During this lesson you will be finalizing your survey and developing a plan for administering your survey. Before distributing your survey, be sure that you have completed all of the following steps:

• Final draft of survey, including an introduction explaining the purpose of the research, and that participation is anonymous and voluntary.
• Supervisor/colleague has given feedback (if possible)
• Have approval from principal/site supervisor/executive director (if necessary)
• Have determined key constituencies to take the survey
• Have determined how to administer survey (e.g online, or in person via homeroom, health class, lunchtime, afterschool program)
• Obtain permission from parents/guardians (if necessary)
• Set a date by which all survey data should be collected
