October

Harvest

During the month of October we have been exploring the food we eat in fall and where it comes from. We have also been talking about the process of how we get our food and what we need to do to prepare it to be eaten

Leaves

The leaves are falling and our class has taken notice! We have been exploring the many different attributes of leaves and how they change through out the year.

Fall Colors

Fall bring about many beautiful colors that make us feel warm and cozy. We have been exploring how these colors are made and making up our own colors to brighten up our classroom.

Reading and Writing

Through out the month the kids have been working hard to practice pre writing and reading skills. We have been practicing fine motor control as well as comprehension and sequencing skills.

Enjoying our new water/ sensory table

Our class received a new water and sensory table to help us explore objects in new ways. The children have enjoyed washing gourds and pumpkins as well as sifting through the water to find acorns and seeds. We are excited to find new ways to use our water table!
