Young Leaders join as Trainees and undergo a 12-months of On-boarding Program which challenges them from Orientation to Final Evaluation. They enter the Junior Management Level and grow to Mid-Senior Management level during their journey with Whirlpool. While gaining experience and learning, our Young Leaders are crafted into the Leaders of Tomorrow who can take bigger responsibilities of Senior Leadership and drive Whirlpool to Success.

“After completing my 1-year traineeship, I worked as Assistant Category Manager - Frost Free Refrigerator in 2007. I was given an opportunity to lead as “Regional Category Manager” for Laundry, Asia from 2008 to 2009, where I developed products for China, Australia, etc. I was surprised at how different & how similar consumers were across Asia. Post that, from 2009- 2012, I worked as Global Product Manager-Laundry, where I got to create the next 5-year strategy & marketing plan, collaborated with people across the globe. .From 2013-16, I was the Head for Direct Cool where I got the opportunity to completely revamp the entire product range, received 'Chairman’s Team of the year award' in 2016. I got a wide exposure & opportunity to learn something new throughout my career span.

“I Started my career as Project Manager, IPO (International Purchasing Office) responsible for developing and exporting material to other Whirlpool Regions (North America, Europe, Brazil etc). Worked in different commodities in IPO for 5 years. Had a wonderful experience in IPO as I interacted with people from different countries, having varied cultures & different perspectives. I got a differentiated role in Whirlpool with a lot of challenges which helped me to learn and grow in Whirlpool from a Trainee to Senior Manager. Currently working as Global Commodity Manager, Colour Finished Material (Steel) responsible for procuring material from Asia for all Whirlpool regions.

I got full freedom to work and to take my own decisions which gave me a sense of responsibility and enabled me to become a better professional. Job rotation and challenging roles after every couple of years in Whirlpool kept me motivated and also gave me opportunities to show my potential…”
