Level 6 CPCAB Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision on Zoom and in Leeds

Starts:  Saturday, January 10th, 2026 

Days: Saturday 10th January and 24th January, 7th February, 7th March, 18th April, 16th May, 13th June, 11th July, 5th September, 3rd October, 7th November and December 5th. 

Venue: On Zoom with three sessions in person in Leeds City Centre (To be arranged with the group) 

Cost:  £1650 (Tuition + Awarding Body Registration) 

(Instalments available - £500 on enrolment followed by ten monthly payments of £115)

Intended Audience/Entrance Criteria: You must have completed our Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling or its equivalent and have at least two years' post-qualifying experience of supervised client work.

AND have substantial practitioner experience.

N.B. CPCAB recommends that you have a minimum of 450 practice hours before embarking on supervision training.

All applicants will be asked to attend an in-depth interview to assess their suitability for undertaking this course at this time.

Course Delivery:  The course will involve active learning including personal and professional development work, pair work, group work and supervision practice. You will be expected to present topics and engage in discussion on a regular basis. You will learn and practice supervisory skills and will study underpinning concepts and theory and related issues like ethics, diversity issues and mental health.

Special Requirements: You are expected to do at least 15 hours of counselling supervision work with individual supervisees either within an agency or as part of your private work.


Supervisory Supervision:   You need to have a minimum of 5 hours supervisory supervision with a senior or experienced clinical supervisor. This can be either one-to-one or in a group.
