Welcome to my professional online portfolio!
I obtained my Master’s in Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University in July 2017. I have a previous Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and am ABD from their sociology doctoral program. Prior to completing my MLIS, I worked as an adjunct in Sociology at Manchester Community College in Manchester, Connecticut for ten years.
As a librarian, I work to integrate critical pedagogy and social justice principles into an array of responsibilities, including library instruction, research consultations, scholarly communication, and collection development, to foster inclusive and equitable learning environments.
In this ePortfolio I have included my curriculum vitae; teaching philosophy along with sample lesson plans and course guides; work I have done around inclusion, diversity, equity, antiracism, and social justice (IDEAS), open education, and student success; sample outreach to students clubs and organizations; and my scholarship and professional achievements.
