Deathcore

其實在理解完Metalcore之後，就不用花時間解釋Deathcore了。

Death Metal + Metalcore = Deathcore

Death Metal ，尤其是1990年代誕生的傳統Death Metal是一個非常邪惡血腥的曲風，代表團如Cannibal Corpse、Morbid Angel、Deicide都和撒旦或殺人脫不了關係。直到後來Death Metal多元化，才出現更多跳脫血腥主題的樂團，比如哲學導向的Gojira。

Death Metal向外發展的過程碰見了Metalcore，從而創造出比Hardcore Metalcore更加兇殘的Death Metalcore。

Antagony 於2001年發行的專輯See Through These Eyes奠定了兇殘的Deathcore。當初的Metalcore是從Hardcore世界融合金屬元素，Deathcore則是在Death Metal的基礎上混入Hardcore。

Despised Icon於2002年發行的專輯Consumed by Your Poison 以Brutal Death/Slam Death為底出發，是Deathcore的「聯合創始人」之一。

同年，The Red Chord發行了專輯Fused Together in Revolving Doors，他們將Death Metal和Grindcore兩個極端兇殘的曲風帶進Metalcore。
