A Course-Based Publication Simulation for Pre-Service Teacher Action Research
The ED 14 Action Research Review is a course-based publication simulation created for pre-service teachers enrolled in ED 14 / Research 1 and Research 2. It is designed to support the full action research process from proposal development to final manuscript completion.
The site serves as the official digital hub for research-related templates, guidelines, schedules, submission links, defense documents, and class proceedings. It also helps student researchers understand that action research is not a one-time requirement, but a developmental process that involves inquiry, reflection, critique, revision, and improvement.
The platform does not function as a formally registered academic journal. Instead, it uses selected features of a journal publisher’s website to help students experience the scholarly process of preparing, submitting, reviewing, revising, and presenting research. Through this structure, students are introduced to the discipline of academic writing, research ethics, manuscript organization, adviser consultation, panel review, and research dissemination.
The ED 14 Action Research Review is maintained for instructional purposes under the School of Education and is intended for use by enrolled students, research advisers, panel members, cooperating teachers, and authorized personnel involved in the ED 14 / Research 1 and Research 2 sequence.
